How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the Watchy application — no need to contact us.

  1. Open the Watchy app on your device.
  2. Navigate to the Settings screen.
  3. Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the Settings screen.
  4. Check the confirmation checkbox.
  5. Tap "Delete My Account" to permanently delete your account.

What Data is Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently and irrecoverably removed from our servers:

  • Your authentication credentials (email, Firebase User ID).
  • Your display name and profile information.
  • Your entire movie library, including Favorites, Watchlist, and Watched titles.
  • All app preferences and settings linked to your account.

What Data is Retained?

We do not retain any personally identifiable data after your account is deleted. Anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., feature interaction counts) may be retained for internal analytics purposes, but this data cannot be linked back to you or any individual.
